Tee O’Fallon’s Indie Publishing is Off to a Strong Start with Book One of New Series

Finally Friday! We made it! I don’t know about you all but, this has been one long week. Soccer and Baseball seasons are both ongoing, and I’ve got two children participating in both sports. That means long nights away from the house, away from my other child and my husband, and cranky kids from late-night practices. Fortunately, before all that practicing started, I had the fantastic opportunity to participate in an ARC reading of the first book in Tee O’Fallon’s new series, The FBI Strikeforce. Readers of romantic suspense are NOT going to want to miss out on this one! The FBI Strikeforce series marks Tee O’Fallon’s first independently published series. O’Fallon’s original three series, The K-9 Special Ops, Federal K-9 Series, and NYPD Blue & Gold Series, were traditionally published.

Independently published or not, Tee O’Fallon brought the suspense, the tension, and the spice to book one of her new series and I think we can look forward to another great set of books from this author.

Perfect Vengeance deals with the Mob on a large scale, meaning many scenes occur within spaces where the Mob exists and thrives. The descriptions of the opulence Gina and Jack find themselves surrounded with are well thought out, helping give the reader an idea of the depth of influence the Mob has and how their illegal activities have paid off.

Next, the characters are my favorite part to talk about and for Perfect Vengeance, these characters bring the whole package. Main Male Character (MMC), Jack has a vendetta against the Mob and is willing to do what it takes to bring them down, brick by brick. His driving anger keeps him moving forward, intent on securing justice. Female Main Character (FMC) Gina picked up a few tricks over the years, one of those just happens to include being a cat burglar with a conscious. Both Jack and Gina are after the same people, seeking revenge and justice, just on different ends of the spectrum.

Jack and Gina have unique qualities and quirks that make them relatable to readers. The driving motives were carefully chosen to cross paths while still being different enough that exact motive isn’t necessarily the driving factor between them. This is an opposites-attract story with both characters needing to lean on each other at various moments throughout the book.

I enjoyed the pacing of the plot in Perfect Vengeance. Sometimes with the first book in a series, you run into a lot of backstory in the first several chapters of book one. That wasn’t the case, Jack and Gina’s stories are established quickly, with additional details being released throughout the remainder of the book, avoiding an info dump at the beginning. The push and pull between the lawful and unlawful aspects of Jack and Gina’s goals helped to establish a type of desperation they both possess to finish what they started.

Overall, 5 Stars! I’ve loved everything Tee O’Fallon has written so far and I’m excited for The FBI Strikeforce series. Book one was great and I can’t wait for everyone to get to read it coming up on June 10, 2025!
